05/10/25 Future Learn How to succeed in the EPQ course  I have just completed my How to succeed in the EPQ 3 week course on future learn by the University of Bath. This has taught me valuable skills for my EPQ such as what a good question looks like. how to effectively research, correct citations/references, and how to produce a successful presentation.

20/09/25 SWOT Analysis  I have now completed my SWOT analysis for my initial ideas.

18/09/25 Preliminary Research  Before deciding on a final idea I have done some preliminary research on my initial ideas so that I can see how easily it is to find potential resources for my EPQ. Through doing this I have discovered that that the gap in women's healthcare is more documented in modern times and there is not much on the history of women's healthcare. There is also lots of books available. How chemicals react with brain is harder to research specifically as a lot of articles were about drug abuse and not medicinal drugs such as antidepressants which I would want to focus on. The history of plastic surgery when research had many available articles but not many other resources such as books and podcasts so I couldn't vary my resources as much. Also the Hippocratic Oath would have to researched for the American healthcare system so it was hard to find articles and more complicated to research.

16/09/25 My Initial Ideas  After creating a mind map to explore my ideas and interest for EPQ, I have wrote up some topic title for possible EPQ topics. Initial Idea s - Mental health of emergency room doctors, burnout, depression due to faults in the funding of the healthcare system ?     - How chemicals react with the brain antidepressants, antipsychotics , anxiety, and ADHD meds and in-depth research on how and potential side effects ?     - The progression of plastic surgery from the world wars and facial reconstruction to latest beauty trends and secret scandals?     - A history of medicine and how it has become vital to power the way for modern medicine?     - AI in medicine, robots doing surgery the takeover of electronics in doctors' life?     - The gap in women's healthcare, misdiagnoses, lack of support and research in women's health?     - The review of the Hippocratic oath with modern ethics and time s...
