Gantt Chart:
Due to having my driving theory test last weekend I have fallen behind on EPQ as I have had to dedicate my time to preparing for that. Due to this I should of finished my initial research last week but have had to extend it into this week and it took me longer than expected due to a high volume of homework to also catch up on so I finished it by the Wednesday so was 3 days off my Gantt chart. Additionally, I also had to postpone my literature review til Thursday which also took me longer than expected as I didn't fully grasp the concept of a literature review so had to consult with my EPQ supervisor and what is needed in a literature review before I could finish writing it. However, due to my careful time management I have managed to get back on schedule and started to examine my initial sources which, as planned in my Gantt chart, was scheduled to start on Sunday.
What went well:
This week also there has been disturbance in the progression of my EPQ I am proud that I was able to get back on track so this disturbance doesn't affect future weeks and cause me to fall behind. Furthermore, I learnt how to write an effective literature review and developed my note taking skills in my EPQ lecture so I can now implement the Cornell note taking method in classes, lectures and while reading sources to create a summary that I can refer back to and expand on.
Things to improve on:
Although I have started to put things such as a school test in my calendar as I become aware of them so I don't let revision time overlap into EPQ time, which has allowed me to use all of my dedicated EPQ work time effectively. I hadn't put dates that were organised before I started my EPQ so I need to put those dates in so I can prepare and potentially modify my personal deadlines.
